Camping, caravanning and campervan enthusiasts will appreciate the wide range of parks in Edinburgh and Lothians, which all have excellent facilities. Nearly all of Scotland's roads are suitable for caravans, but please take advice from the road signs or the Tourist Information Centres which recommend that you do not take a caravan on certain roads. Lay-bys must not be used for overnight parking and local people are grateful if you pull into a passing place on single-track roads in order to let them pass.
