Strong Wind Procedures

Standard procedures are applied during strong winds at the Forth Road Bridge. Wind speeds are constantly monitored by Bridge Control, and restrictions are automatically applied when winds reach pre-determined trigger levels.

Forth Road Bridge Flies the Flag

The Forth Road Bridge is celebrating St Andrew’s Day this year by flying two giant Saltires from the tops of the bridge’s towers.
Progress on Main Cable Despite Weather Delays

The dehumidification project to fight corrosion in the Forth Road Bridge’s main suspension cables has made significant progress, despite delays caused by poor weather over the summer.
