Edinburgh Festival Fringe
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest
arts festival on the planet. From Nancy Sinatra to Christian
Slater, St Andrews to South Africa, one woman shows to casts of
hundreds: the Fringe is a hub where Hollywood stars mix with new
talent.
It’s a place where people from all countries
and cultures come together to perform in Edinburgh. The Edinburgh
Festival Fringe is the original ‘Fringe’ festival. Over 1800 shows
from the entire spectrum of the arts perform in almost 300
venues.
Theatre makes up 32% of the programme,
followed by Comedy (27%) then Music (21%). Musicals, Children’s
Shows, Dance & Physical Theatre, Exhibitions and Events each
provide around 4% of the programme.
