International Qualifications in Edinburgh

Colleges offer a way into British degrees for overseas students by offering courses such as The University of Edinburgh International Foundation Programme.

Stevenson College offers a 6-month “fast track” HNC specifically tailored to international students - it’s half the time and cost of a normal HNC.

If English isn’t your first language, it’s easy to access courses specifically designed to help you. Both Telford College and Stevenson Colleges prioritise these Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) services, following an injection of £5m worth of funding for Scottish Colleges to teach more English.

Fettes College in the city centre offers the International Baccalaureate to international students as an alternative to A-levels. This is also offered by St Leonards School in St. Andrews, just outside the Edinburgh city region in the north of Fife. Both also cater for boarding pupils.
