Edinburgh’s districts
Edinburgh is comprised of a number of diverse
districts. Each offers a variety of housing. Urban villages,
Georgian crescents, market towns and sympathetic new developments
offer abundant choice to prospective residents.
Architects at the forefront of contemporary
design are regenerating the city’s waterfront.
Pristine apartment buildings rise from the early morning coastal
mists of Granton and Leith.
Duddingston was built around a 12th
century church. Locals visit the Victorian skittle alley in
the village inn, reputedly the oldest pub in Scotland. The
hamlet adjoins a loch and bird sanctuary. It could be in the
heart of rural Scotland. It’s actually on the southern edge
of Arthur’s Seat (five minutes by car from the Royal Mile).
