Housing

Edinburgh consistently ranks as one of the best places to live in the UK.  The housing market is buoyant.  However, significant increases in the housing stock, including affordable housing, will ensure that Edinburgh continues to be an inviting prospect for potential residents. The number of houses in Edinburgh is expected to increase by approximately 12% by 2014.

Around a third of workers commute to the city.  The journey time to Glasgow - currently a very commutable 50 minutes - will be further reduced with the introduction of a proposed high speed rail link.

Relocation to the city region from anywhere in the UK is a prudent move. If you relocate from another affluent area such as the south-east of England, the cachet of living in one of Europe’s most desirable city regions will ensure that your investment is protected.

Edinburgh offers a lifestyle which no other UK city can match, walking to work, fantastic countryside only 15 minutes away and with the cost of living significantly lower than London - useful when it comes to saving a pot of cash to take home
