If you are relocating from England to Scotland and would like your child to continue their GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) education, many of the city region’s independent secondary schools provide them.

Visit the Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS) website for information about the Edinburgh City Region’s independent secondary schools. Search for secondary schools in Edinburgh City, East Lothian, West Lothian, Fife, The Borders and Clackmannan, where you’ll find a list of independent schools, their contact details, website links and the examinations offered.

SCIS also provides a chart which sets out the key stages of the Scottish qualifications system and the equivalent stages in England.
