Edinburgh City Region's busy calendar of local markets
includes:
- Edinburgh Farmers' Market, held every Saturday
of the month, is Scotland's largest market with 40 producers
from all over Scotland. Its location beneath Edinburgh Castle in
Castle Terrace makes it a feature for tourists and local
shoppers
- Farmers markets also operate across the city
region in locations including Haddington and Dunfermline
- The Eating Place is a lively hot and cold
food market with an international flavour which takes place in
Castle Street. The Eating Place runs from 12am - 6pm on the second
and last Thursdays of June & July and every Thursday throughout
August, then 2nd & last in September, last in October &
November and 3rd Thursday in December
- Seasonal markets include the Traditional
German Christmas Market and festive Polish market . The summer
festival season also brings a wealth of craft fairs and stalls to
the city centre
- Bathgate’s local market attracts visitors
from across the region every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with a
range of local goods and produce at bargain prices.
