Financial service conferences in
Edinburgh
Edinburgh is one of the UK’s most inspiring
conference destinations and business tourism generates around £300m
a year for the Edinburgh economy. A number of flagship
international conferences have helped to raise the city region’s
reputation as a centre of excellence for business and financial
services.
- The inaugural GlobalScots conference attracted more than
160 successful Scots from around the world, including 20
representing the financial services sector
- The Global Banking Alliance for Women World Summit
2006 was hosted by the Bank of Scotland and brought together
delegates from 15 countries
- The Global Financial Services week
held across Edinburgh in May 2008. Aim of the week: to
showcase the strength and depth of the industry in Scotland to
stakeholders in Scotland, the rest of the UK and the international
markets; and to provide a forum for top level discussion about the
future for this most internationalised of industries.
