RD Energy Solutions is a renewable energy engineering and consultancy firm with expertise in renewable technologies including wind, solar, hydro, biomass systems, heat pumps and energy from waste. We tend to work for high energy-using businesses in both the public and private sector that want to reduce their carbon footprint, cut energy costs or generate income from renewable technologies. Our clients include the NHS, councils, schools and other public bodies as well as property developers who need to meet emissions targets. Renewable energy developers are also increasingly using our services on wind farm, biomass and hydro schemes. EST is a partnership project that was originally initiated by the seven science parks based in Edinburgh City Region. It also involves Heriot-Watt and Edinburgh universities; the research institutes of Moredun, Roslin and NHS Lothian and the four local authorities. Scottish Enterprise has provided considerable support.
