Alba Innovation Centre aims to make a
significant difference to ambitious, innovative technology
businesses and is committed to supporting the development and
accelerating the growth of the next generation of innovative,
knowledge based, high growth technology businesses in the East of
Scotland.
Accommodation
The Alba Innovation Centre provides tenants
with high quality accommodation and excellent facilities which
ensure the smooth operation of growing technology businesses.
Fully serviced suites ranging in size from 1-8
workstations are available on flexible terms under a single monthly
licence fee. All suites are furnished to a high standard and are
equipped with telephone and high speed internet access.
The building is also served by a wireless
network and the managed reception provides a friendly welcome to
visitors, a manned switchboard and a range of administrative
support services.
Facilities and Services
The Campus benefits from additional amenities
for staff including on site child nursery and health club. A
wide range of retail and leisure facilities can be found at the
Livingston Centre just a mile away.

Set within a landscaped 96 acre site, the Alba Campus offers an
attractive working environment for knowledge based businesses and
is the location of choice for the next generation of technology
entrepreneurs.
Located at the western apex of the Edinburgh
Science Triangle, the Alba Innovation Centre offers an unrivalled
Central Scotland location close to the M8 motorway with easy access
to both Edinburgh and Glasgow City Centres. By end 2010,
Livingston will be served by the new train service linking the two
major cities. Edinburgh Airport is located 20 minutes from the Alba
Innovation Centre and provides direct connections to over 55
European and North American destinations
Network
As one of the leading business incubators for innovative
technology businesses in the East of Scotland, Alba Innovation
Centre provides an enabling environment, within which businesses
receive intensive in-house advisory support as well access to a
network of successful entrepreneurs and specialist experts –
including the Electronics, Sensors and Photonics Knowledge Transfer
Network (KTN) which has an office onsite.
The layout of the building with café and informal break out
areas is designed to stimulate contact between tenant companies and
to foster a collegiate environment. The entrepreneurs based
in the Centre are encouraged to share their experience, knowledge
and when the opportunity arises to do business with each other
Business Support
The innovation support is delivered by an in-house team of
experienced advisors, complemented by external professionals in
such areas as intellectual property, legal matters and
accountancy.
The advisors will work closely with tenant companies to identify
issues and needs, provide direct support themselves and where
appropriate manage access to other assistance, including the full
range of Scottish Enterprise products. The aim is to pull
together the right support, at the right time, in the right format
to drive towards commercial success.
